Arsenal legend Paul Merson thinks coach Graham Potter could be sacked if Chelsea lose to Tottenham this weekend.

Chelsea is disappointing in recent times. They only won 2 of the last 14 matches on all fronts. As a result, this team was eliminated in the League Cup and FA Cup. In the English Premier League, they are ranked 10th in the rankings, 11 points behind the Top 4.

In the Champions League, they are in danger of not being able to reach the quarter-finals when they lost 0-1 to Dortmund in the first leg of the 1/8 round. In the near future, the London team will have 2 important matches. Specifically, Man City will face Tottenham in the 25th round of the Premier League this weekend, followed by Dortmund at home in the second leg of the 1/8 C1 round.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson thinks coach Graham Potter could be sacked if Chelsea lose to Tottenham this weekend. He told Sky Sports: "This Sunday is Chelsea's biggest game of the season - it's against Tottenham. If Chelsea lose, their fans will be angry."

“This game can change everything, if Chelsea beat Spurs, their spirits will be high and they will be prepared for the Champions League match against Dortmund. But if they lose, there's a lot more pressure on them, and I think Chelsea can totally give Potter a sack."

“They need to go into the match against Dortmund in good spirits. And if we lose to Tottenham, the Chelsea board may run out of patience."

Paul Merson also believes that Chelsea have spent too much money to bring in only potential signings, such as Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Enzo Fernandez or Benoit Badiashile.
